2024 Buford City School System’s Teacher of the Year

The Teacher of the Year panel of judges selected Lauren Tsouchlos as the 2024 Buford City School System’s Teacher of the Year. She will move on to represent our school district for Georgia Teacher of the Year.

The candidates for Georgia Teacher of the Year (TOTY) are exceptionally dedicated, knowledgeable, and skilled educators who are planning to continue in active teaching status; an educator who inspires students of all backgrounds and abilities to learn; an educator who has respect and admiration for students, parents, and colleagues; an educator who plays an active and valuable role in the community as well as in the school; and one who is poised and articulate and possesses the energy to withstand a taxing schedule.  Congratulations and good luck to Mrs. Tsouchlos.
